During this year’s edition of the Parabere Forum, S.Pellegrino announced landmark changes to the international talent competition S.Pellegrino Young Chef. As a long term partner to the world of cuisine, S.Pellegrino developed this initiative to nurture the future of gastronomy by nesting, discovering and promoting the next generation of talented young chefs. S.Pellegrino passionately believes that talent should not be confined by gender, geography or any other factors. For this reason, the fourth edition of S.Pellegrino Young Chef has been redefined with the intention of broadening the diversity of the participants.

In order to make the international talent search as inclusive as possible, S.Pellegrino aims to have at least three women chefs in each regional pool of candidates, and it aims to have a fair representation of women chefs in 2019 Regional Juries, on top of a gender-balanced 2020 Global Jury. Moreover, as well as supporting inclusivity from a gender perspective, the regional finals will take place in twelve regions: the regional finals will be open to applications from young chefs across the whole world, with the aim of representing 50 countries.

Through this partnership, S.Pellegrino and the Parabere Forum wish to invite established chefs and key opinion leaders in gastronomy to raise awareness and encourage young women chefs to apply to the 2020 S.Pellegrino Young Chef edition.

Applications for S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2020 are open until April 30th 2019.
